The author of the New York Times best-selling book From Scratch will deliver the keynote address on June 28, 2022, at the 2022 Embrace Aging Forum presented by Chambliss Law. Attendees of the event are also invited to an exclusive book signing with Tembi Locke, who will share her personal experiences as a caregiver and the importance of creating a community when it matters most, as written in her best-selling memoir. Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Saldana are adapting Locke’s memoir for Netflix, and the series is expected to air soon.
"My journey caring for my late husband taught me the depth of the human experience," said Locke. "I am proud to honor his memory and our journey together by advocating for the needs of caregivers who are experiencing life’s unexpected twists and turns."
From Scratch is a New York Times Best Seller, New York Times Audio Best Seller, Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Selection, Barnes & Noble 2019 Summer Reading Pick, and Apple iBook Featured Pick. The book was also chosen as Reese Witherspoon’s May 2019 pick for her book club Hello Sunshine. Saldana will play Locke in the upcoming Netflix series.
